Tinamit Junan Uleu is an organization that aspires to be a bridge so indigenous people of different traditions can connect with and support each other. This video shows their work, weaving relations, from Mount Shasta, California to the shores of Lake Atitlan in Guatemala and the benefits that come to fruition in a Mayan ceremony. I directed this project and wrote the script.

Oh Citlalli this is my favorite one! When it first began and I saw the people putting up the tepees my heart warmed and I was back there on the sands near the Ocean putting up the tepee we had made. We lived near the Ocean and took from her our food. The sky was our roof and the warmth of the sand under foot always soothing.

The women in this video are incredibly beautiful, their grace comes through as they speak about their weaving. I wanted to be there with them. A huge thank you!
